Absolar defends regulatory framework for Distributed Generation

According to Rodrigo Sauaia, president of the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (Absolar), the approval of a regulatory framework for Distributed Generation in the country is the best solution to avoid the retrogression of solar energy and other renewable energies. This is also a common action in developed countries.

It is worth remembering that there is already a legal framework in debate in the House of Representatives, which aims to bring benefits to the consumer and the environment. "This is an urgent demand of Brazilian society, especially in the face of this scenario of double global challenge: socioeconomic, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, and also environmental, because of global warming and climate change," Sauaia said.
