ANP and Petrobras Agreement covers new areas for the Whale Park

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) signed a contract with Petrobras that concludes the dispute of the payments of the Special Participations (PE) of the Whale Park region. The hit set the basic date for the receipts of the total value of R $3.6 billion, related to the fourth quarter of the year 2016 which will be installments in 42 months.

The Whale Park will now be named "New Field of Jubarte" and shall be formed by the areas of Jubarte, Blue Whale, Whale Frank, parts of Cachalote and Pirambu, in the Santos Basin. In Addition, the ANP extended the production phase of the field to 27 years, i.e. up to 2046.
