Amended regulatory framework for LPG distribution and resale

The National Petroleum Agency published resolution No 709/2017, amending resolutions ANP Nos 49/2016 and 51/2016, on regulatory landmarks for LPG distribution and resale, respectively.

Among the amendments are the simplification of regulatory procedures and reducing bureaucratic obstacles imposed on agents. Article writing has also been altered in order to give more clarity to the rules and to leave definitions more compatible with other agency standards.

The change was carried out after the demand of the regulated agents which, due to the economic downturn in the fuel market, requested the revaluation of the rules. Prior to the publication of the final resolution, the amendments to the ANP's proposal have undergone a consultation and public hearing held between July and August this year.
