The National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved the notices of auctions A-3 and A-4, scheduled to take place this year, last Tuesday (18). The auctions are intended for the contracting of electricity from new ventures from water, solar, wind and thermal sources to biomass.
The events are expected to be held on June 25. According to the notice, the plants contracted in the A-3 auction are expected to begin delivering energy on January 1, 2024. In the case of the A-4, the start of supply is scheduled for January 1, 2025.
In the case of thermal contracts, biomass with CVU equal to or other than zero will be in the modality of energy supply by availability, with a supply period of 20 years. For wind and solar projects, the contracting will be by quantity, with a supply period of 20 years.
