ANP approves sending royalties for education and health

Last Thursday (30), the board of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) approved the distribution of R $ 470 million in royalties to be applied in education (75%) and health (25%), with the aim of strengthening the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Through a note, the agency said that of the R$ 470 million, 34% will be allocated to the Union and 66% to states and municipalities, directly or through the Special Petroleum Fund.

The resources are the result of production in fields under the sharing regime, among which Tartaruga Verde Sudoeste, Nordeste de Sapinhoá, Noroeste de Sapinhoá and Sudoeste de Sapinhoá, located in the pre-salt region in the Santos Basin.
