The board of directors of the National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) approved the sale of 35% of the BM-ES-5 block of Ouro Preto Energy (OP Energia) for Petrobras. In a consortium made by the state El Paso, the block was acquired in the 3rd Bidding Round in 2001. Already in 2010, Petrobras informed the ANP of the discovery of gas evidence in this block.
In that same meeting, via the Internet, where the announcement was made, the ANP also approved the sale of half of Imetame’s stake in five blocks in the Holy Spirit basin for Texan Petro Victory Energy Corp. The Imetame had 100% of the blocks acquired in the 14th Bidding Round. The DIRECTOR General of the ANP, Décio Oddone, celebrated the sale and cited that this is the objective of the Permanent Offer.
“It is a pleasure to see the market moving, making portfolio management, increasing participation. A new industry is born,” he said Oddone. In all, 567 blocks with exploratory risk are available in the permanent, located in 34 sectors of 10 Brazilian sedimentary basins.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
