ANP authorizes exploration of 4 wells bidding at 2018

The ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and biofuels) authorized Petrobras to initiate the process of exploration of the two brothers, Três Marias and Uirapuru blocks, bidded in the 4th round of the pre-salt sharing, and the Shell on Saturn, which was killed in the 5th, carried out in 2018. The minimum investments are estimated at R $1.3 billion for drilling a well in each block, with expected execution between 2019 and 2025.

The demand for wells in the exploratory phase of these pre-salt assets tends to be higher than predicted in the minimum exploratory program (PEM). The Shell, for example, began last year environmental licensing in the Ibama of Saturn and intends to drill up to five wells, the first of which is from January 2020. The others can be explored during 2020 and 2021.
