ANP held today auction of oil exploration blocks

Occurred on the morning of Thursday (7), the auction of oil exploration blocks made by the ANP (National Agency of Oil, Gas and Biofuels). The event had the participation of nine companies, had 92 blocks offered, and only five were won.

Generating a total of approximately R$ 37.140 million in signing bonuses, with planned investments of R$ 136.3 million, the blocks won correspond to 2 blocks of the SS-AP4 sector, in the Santos Basin, and 3 blocks in the SS-AUP4 sector, also in the Santos Basin.

The event corresponding to the 17th Bidding Round of the ANP, marked the beginning of a new trajectory of offers of a new exploratory frontier of blocks farther from the coast. Only Shell and Ecopetrol were the companies offering. The calendar of rounds foresees for this year still the 2nd. Bidding Round of Surplus Volumes of the Onerous Assignment, on December 17.
