ANP reports that sales of fuels fell in 2016

Data released today, February 16, at the Seminary of 2017 fuels market (Base year 2016), held at the central Office of the national agency of petroleum, Natural gas and biofuels, in Rio de Janeiro, showed that the fuel consumption in the Brazilian market in 2016 had a reduction of 4.5%, totaling 135.436 billion liters. In the year 2015, this number was 141.811 billion liters.

According to the ANP, the marketing of petrol rose 4.6% C going 41.137 billion litres in 2015, to 43.019 billion liters last year. Already the hydrous ethanol consumption, which had been 17.863 billion liters, down to 14.586 billion liters in 2016, a decrease of 18.3%. The total ethanol, however, suffered a fall of 9% by 2016 compared to the previous year, from 28.796 billion to 26.201 billion liters.

The marketing of diesel oil B was also reduced, down from 57.211 billion to 54.279 billion. A fall of 5.1%. Biodiesel had 5.1% reduction 4.005 billion litres in 2015, to 3.799 billion in 2016.

According to the data, there was also a reduction in the sale of aviation kerosene (JET FUEL) of 8%, from 7.355 billion liters to 6.765 billion litres fuel oil that had a fall of 32.4%, going from 4.932 billion liters to 3.333 billion liters. Already sales of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) rose 1.1%, 13.249 billion liters for 13.398 billion liters, while the vehicular natural gas (VNG) increased 3.2% in sales volume from 4,820,000 ³ m/day to 4,976,000 of m ³/day.
