National oil has grown in recent years

In your site, the national agency of petroleum, Natural gas and biofuels (ANP), published statistical data on the evolution of the sector of oil, natural gas and biofuels in Brazil in 2016.

According to the data of the Agency, the national oil production grew 3.2 percent for the third consecutive year and reached 2,500,000 barrels per day. The main reason for the rise was the supply of oil in the pre-salt layer, which reached an average of 1.0 million barrels per day in the year, after annual variation of 33.1%.

Already the national natural gas production had increased by 7.9%, reaching 103,800,000 m ³/day and still increasing on the pre-salt area. Even in 2016, Brazilian oil exports reached 798,200 barrels/day, annual increase of 8.3%.
