The National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has released free access to technical data from 23 terrestrial sedimentary basins. The data is gathered in an online platform, hosted by the Mineral Resources Research Company (CPRM), a public company linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The release of the platform took place last Wednesday (12). The goal is to attract private exploratory investments to the sector, with the expectation that companies will be able to obtain the information needed to expand their studies more easily and safely.
For the director general of the ANP, Rodolfo Henrique de Saboia, the measure represents a change. "There was a certain idea that this data needed to be protected and that access needed to be restricted and contained. This has been changing over time. The regulation was being updated", he said, during participation in the online event Circuito Brasil Óleo & Gás.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
