The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported, last Tuesday (7), that began three public consultations on local content clauses in contracts for exploration and production of oil and natural gas in Brazil.According to the
agency, the first public consultation addresses the adjustment of terms for already closed phases of contracts. The second deals with local content in cases of individualization and annexation of areas, and the third deals with a resolution that eliminates the use, in certain situations, of two different methods of reporting local content, with different parameters and periodicity.
Remembering that the local content clauses, which are part of the contracts signed between the ANP and the companies that won bids, stipulate that a minimum percentage of contracts for goods and services should occur in Brazil.
