Petrobras approved the sale of the block in the Santos Basin

Petrobras signed an agreement with the French oil company Total for the sale of 22.5% in Iara concession area, located in the Santos Basin. The transaction was approved by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and published on Monday, April 3, in the Official Gazette.

The sale includes the Cockle fields, Sururu and Atapu West. Negotiations between the Brazilian state and the French oil have been held since 2016, when a strategic alliance signed by the two companies, as already reported by Panorama Offshore (http://migre.me/wmC4C).
