Saudi Arabia plans to reduce oil production

The largest global exporter of oil, Saudi Arabia, reported that from January will reduce its oil supply, accepting the agreement achieved by the members of the Organization of petroleum exporting countries (Opec).

A new OPEC meeting is scheduled for today, 10 December, in Vienna, with countries outside the group. The members hope that countries such as Russia, Mexico, Sudan and Malaysia undertake to reduce the extraction of oil into 600,000 barrels per day (bpd).
