ASCM grants International certification to Petrobras

Petrobras received certification from the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) in environmental, ethical and economic excellence in the procurement and supply chain of goods and services. "We are proud to be the first company to achieve this important achievement. It is worth noting that, in order to obtain this result, it was very important to have a vigorous supplier chain, committed and aligned with the results of Petrobras, "said Cláudio Araújo, executive manager of supply of goods and services.

ASCM has more than 45000 members in 100 countries, including Boeing and Ceva Logistics. These companies participate in the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), an organization with more than 60 years of activity, internationally renowned, certification and training of hiring and procurement professionals.

For the evaluation to be done, three aspects were evaluated: ethics, economics and ecology. In addition, we compared the processes of planning, supply and delivery of the supply chain with worldwide standards of the market and the academic area. The certification is valid for 3 years and the company that received the certificate must demonstrate throughout this period, adherence to the standards defined by ASCM.
