Up to 2027, oil production in Brazil can be 5.5 million per day

According to Decius Oddone, director general of the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and biofuels), until 2027, Brazil will produce about 5.5 million barrels of oil per day. The data were announced by Oddone, during the 49 º Brazilian Congress of Geology, at the Sulamérica Convention Center.

Production numbers can be even higher for the same period. During the lecture "the resumption of the oil and gas industry in Brazil", Odonne still revealed that, according to calculations promoted by Shell, the oil production in the country can be from 6 to 7 million of bpd, up to 2027.

According to the Director, in order for these figures to become a reality, it is necessary to accelerate the investments in the sector, to raise the production and to recover the reservoirs, to make the Brazilian oil production even more attractive to the market, aiming at a Longer-term development in the sector.
