According to the Energy Minister of Russia, Alexander Novak, in a statement made on Friday, March 17, the country intends to cut by the end of April, 300,000 barrels of oil per day and seek to maintain production at this level until the agreement expires at the end of June.
So far, Russia, which is not part of the cartel OPEC members, has reduced its production by 160,000 bpd, and according to Novak, will reach 200 thousand barrels / day by the end of March.
To the minister, it is too early to deal on the extension of the cuts after the deadline closed according to OPEC. The subject only to return again the agenda of the producing countries to the end of April or in May, said the Russian.
