Energy auction will serve isolated locations in the North

The National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) held an auction to supply electricity to isolated locations of the National Interconnected System. The auction took place on Friday (30).

In all, there will be 23 locations served in the states of Acre (AC), Amazonas (AM), Pará (PA), Rondônia (RO) and Roraima (RR), starting with the supply from April 1, 2023, according to information from Agência Brasil. The duration of the contracts varies from 28 to 180 months, depending on the locality.

To meet the demand, the 2nd Energy Auction for Isolated Systems contracted supply solutions in diesel oil, natural gas and biodiesel, and was organized in conjunction with the Electric Energy Trading Chamber, with a total negotiated power of 97.28 MW.
