According to the Brazilian Association of piped gas distribution companies (Abegás), the consumption of natural gas in Brazil showed an increase of 10.6% in April, compared to March this year. In comparison to April 2016, the increase was of 8.46%.
For domestic use, the gas presented, for the first time in 2017, the average of 1.18 million cubic meters daily. According to Abegás, this growth is attributed to the drop in temperature in the South and Southeast.
In the industrial segment, the consumption of natural gas had a growth of 4.7% in comparison with the same period in 2016 and a slight retraction of 1% compared to the previous month.
