The Campos Basin ofertará ten areas in the 14th round of bids

With higher expectations of lance in 2017, the Campos Basin will again offer dispatch areas in deep areas in 14th round of bids from the national petroleum Agency (ANP), scheduled to take place in September this year. The expectation is great in virtue of the coast do not have obtained any bid in the previous auction, held in 2013.

This round will be offered ten deepwater areas, outside of the polygon of the pre-salt layer, they are: CM35, CM37, CM65, CM67, CM210, CM277, CM344, CM346, CM411 and CM413, in addition to blocks in the Campos Basin, which has a total of 3400 km ², fourth largest exploratory area of Brazil. The 14th round will follow the model of concession areas auction promoted 20 years and will be awarded the post salt blocks.

Main sedimentary area already exploited in the brazilian coast, the Campos Basin extends on the outskirts of the city of Vitória, Espírito Santo to Arraial do Cabo, Rio de Janeiro, about 100000 square kilometers. The bid of the areas may benefit the major Brazilian companies in the sector and bring development to the region, especially in the city of Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, the country's main oil Centre.
