Bahia grows in wind energy and can be a leader in the sector

The state of Bahia has been highlighting in sustainable energy for four years, totaling R $13.06 billion in investments. The expectation that in this first semester of 2019 is that the region occupies the leadership of wind source generation in Brazil.

According to the National Electricity Agency (ANEEL), the state has approximately 138 wind farms in operation and generates a capacity of 3,547 megawatts. In addition, it has more 56 territories under construction, and until July 30 are already ready.

The forecast up to 2023 is that investments in wind energy reach R $7.49 billion and the generation of jobs revolve around 26700. Consequently, it will help the environment and reduce the unemployment share in the country.
