Oil barrel can cost US $50, says Petrobras CEO

The president of Petrobras, Roberto Castello Branco, said that the state prepares to experience a global oil price scenario marking US $50/barrel. Currently, the English oil Brent, international reference, is around US $58.

“We are preparing to live well with a price of 50 dollars, perhaps even less.”, said the CEO of the company, during an event held in Rio de Janeiro. In 2016, the stock oil quotes already reached values below US $30, after a period where the fuel cost around US $100, between 2011 and 2014.
