Belem Bioenergia is now Galp's

Petrobras sold the 50% of the shares that the subsidiary Petrobras Biofuels (PBIO) owned by Belem Bioenergia Brasil (BBB) for the partner Galp Bioenergy B.V. The transaction value was R $24.7 million. BBB operates in the plant oil and biofuel production sector.

Galp was already a shareholder of the other 50% of the participation of Belem Bioenergia. Now, the company owns 100% of the assets and is the sole owner of the biofuel company. According to Petrobras, the R $24.7 million resources of the operation will be retained by Galp until December 2020 for potential indemnity payments.
