Biofuel: Sustainability and innovation

With increasing pollution, increased greenhouse effect and global warming, renewable sources increasingly gain space on the onshore and offshore worlds. For example, biofuels, which originate from organic, non-fossil and biomass substances, can be used to replace petroleum and natural gas derivatives in engines and even power generation.

In Brazil, the main biofuels are ethanol, biodiesel consisting of vegetable oil or animal fats, soybeans, and even sugar cane that originate the sugarcane mills, present in the states of São Paulo, Bahia, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Piauí, among others.

Being one of the pioneers in the production of biofuel, the country contributes to the boosting of sustainability, preservation of the environment, strengthening the economy in the export of biofuel and still, assists for new routes of the offshore environment and Onshore.
