Oil blocks from the Gulf of Mexico are auctioned

The Mexico will sell the rights of exploitation of their oil reserves in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico, considered extremely valuable to the oil sector of the country. The Giants Exxon Mobil Corp., Chevron Corp., BP PLC and the State-owned Statoil ASA of Norway and Petrobras already showed interest.

According to information from The Wall Street Journal, the expectation is that we can deliver the licenses for operation of up to ten new deepwater blocks, as well as find a partner to keep 60% of the Trion oil field, located in the South of the border between the United States and Mexico.
