BNDES finances wind farms in Bahia

BNDES (National Bank for Economic Development and In a statement, which approved a financing for the value of the company’s R $1.26 billion to Engie Brasil Group for the construction of 18 wind farms and Their energy transmission systems located in the municipalities of Bahia, Sento Sé and Umburanas.

The loan value of the BNDES represents 78.8% of the total project investment (R $1.6 billion), which will have an installed capacity of 605 MW. The parks were made possible by means of 18 different specific purpose societies (SPEs), constituted by Engie Brasil to build and operate the mills.

All the energy produced by the complex is transmitted to the substation of Ourolândia II (BA) and from there it is drained to the national interconnected system.
