Bolivia wants to sell surplus gas to brazilian industry

As already reported by Panorama Offshore, after Petrobras have reduced the number of importing gas from Bolivia in 45%, Bolivian Hydrocarbon Minister Luis Alberto Sánchez Fernández reported that the surplus may be negotiated with other customers in Brazil as the thermal power plants, for example.

The Bolivian Minister reported that Petrobras imports between 28 to 30 million cubic metres (m ³) Bolivia's gas per day, but currently this volume is in m ³ 15 million/day.

According to Agency Brazil, the Ministry of mines and energy Fernando Coelho Son said he will not oppose the sale of the surplus of gas from Bolivia and will give all necessary support to the negotiation with private agents.
