BP grants contract for offshore Trinidad and Tobago project

The Texas engineering company Fluor Corporation announced that it has been selected by BP Trinidad and Tobago to perform services for the design of compression Cassia, out of the East coast of Trinidad and Tobago.

The project includes a new offshore gas compression platform, new bridge and modifications to the existing cube. The platform will compress the gas produced from existing platforms of Cassia.

The Fluor has 50 years of experience in the development of some of the more complex offshore projects in the world, including multiple installations of BP in Trinidad and Tobago. The expectation is that the activities are completed even in 2017, with the first gas production forecast for 2020.
