BP invests in solar energy in Brazil

The BP group is strong in the Brazilian oil sector and is now investing in solar energy as well. The British company announced last Wednesday, November 28, the beginning of its operations in the country through its subsidiary LightSource.

According to the BP executive in Brazil, Mario Lindnhayn, the participation of renewable energies will have a growth of 47% thanks to the increase in the production of solar energy, electric, wind and the use of biofuels.

The company has not disclosed how much it will invest in the country, but the forecast of the project already defined is for next year. Still according to the company the goal is to reduce environmental impacts and thus produce sustainably.

Brazil is growing in sustainable developments, and it seems that the future will be summarized in renewable energy, preserving the environment to multiply the national economy.
