Braskem restitutes R $265 million to Petrobras

Petrobras received approximately R $265 million from Braskem, due to an agreement made between the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) and the Advocate General of the Union (AGU). The resources are part of repatriations, collaboration and leniency agreements, carried out on the grounds of Operation Lava Jato.

Braskem had already returned R $564 million to the state (R $363 million in 07/12/2017 and R $201 million in 08/08/2018), due to the leniency agreement signed with the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF). Returns totalize approximately R $828 million.

The totalized values returned by Petrobras as a result of Lava Jato already exceed the amount of R $3.5 billion.
