BRF advances in solar energy and signs agreement with BB

On Thursday (11), BRF, a Brazilian multinational in the food industry, announced an agreement with Banco do Brasil to encourage partner farmers to adopt solar energy. The announcement will meet the sustainability commitment presented by the company last December, and promises to bring great savings with electricity. The partnership will bring up to R$ 200 million in financing for the adequacy of farms, with installation of solar panels and improvements in energy expenditures.

BRF, which owns the Sadia and Perdigão brands, intends to transition to renewable energy, reaching 50% of electricity from clean sources by 2030, and implementing sustainability in a transversal way in its business.
