House approves direct sale of ethanol to gas stations

The Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the House of Representatives approved the direct sale of ethanol to gas stations. The decision came out last Wednesday (5). In this way, producers will be able to negotiate directly with the posts.

Mr Silvio Costa Filho, rapporteur of the proposal, said that there will be no difference between the fuel sold directly and that sold by the distributor. "The alcohol we are treating is hydrated alcohol, that is, an alcohol that has no mixture. That is, he leaving the plant, passing through the distributor and going to the gas station, it is the same alcohol that will be sold from the plant directly to the gas stations."
