Culzean gas field will receive new equipment

The Dutch company Frames received an order of Sembcorp Marine for the provision of a range of equipment and solutions that will be used in the Culzean gas field in the North Sea under operation of Maersk.

The package includes two systems contractor water desalination, a full panel of wellhead control with hydraulic power, and three systems of hydraulic power to the topside of the platform, in addition to subsea valves.

Culzean camp is about 233 kilometers off the coast of Aberdeen, Scotland, and has the answer for about 5% of the total consumption of gas in the United Kingdom between 2020 and 2021.

"We are proud to have received this request from Offshore Platforms and Sembcorp Marine to make part of this project," said the sales manager of Flow Control Frames & Safeguarding, Sjoert Bolhuis, remembering that this is not the first time that they will work in partnership with Sembcorp Marine, who already worked on projects like the Fpso P-68, P-71 and pioneer of Libra, all for Petrobras.
