Ceará brings natural gas to patients with coronavirus

According to a statement from the government of Ceará, the Gas Company ceará (Cegás) created a specialized task force to set up a structure capable of transporting piped natural gas to a hospital that treats patients with coronavirus (Covid-19).

The connection to the supply took place at the last end of leonardo da Vinci Hospital, located in the center of Fortaleza. The gas will have cooking of food intended for patients and heating of the of the establishment’s water system. The health unit belongs to the initiative and was requested by the government of Ceará to support the emergency care. The hospital has more than 200 beds in all.

Cegás is a mixed economy company that provides gas and energy solutions for the development of Ceará. With a network of pipelines spread across the state, Cegás provides this important energy source for industries, commerce, vehicles and homes.
