China owns most of the Southern natural gas project of Pars

China now has most of the project in the Southern Natural gas field of Pars, located in the Persian Gulf after the withdrawal of the Total French company from the region due to the new sanctions of the United States.

According to the news Agency of the Islamic Republic, IRNA, the state Petroleum Corporation Iran said that the China State Corporation (CNPC), which already owned 30% of the project, now controls about 80% due to the purchase of 50% of the shares of the Total French state. CNPC is the company that has the largest portion of the project of 5 billion dollars.

Speaking of Iran, this month the Trump government started applying frozen sanctions after the withdrawal of the nuclear agreement with Iran, meaning Iran's impediment to accessing the US dollar, selling government bonds, and total or partial import of the aircraft from Passengers.
