China has increased imports of petroleum

Preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs of China showed that imports of crude oil in the country had increased from 9.6% in the month of December 2016, reaching the mark of 36,380,000 tons.

Compared to the previous year the Chinese recorded a growth of 14%, approximately 7,650,000 barrels per day. The data also showed that the country exported 36% more in December 2016 compared to the same period in 2015, totaling 340,000 tons of crude oil.
