CNI performs studies for the implantation of natural gas thermals

The CNI (National Confederation of Industry) carries out studies for the implantation of natural gas thermals in search of decreased spending on electricity and increased protection in supply.

According to the studies of "thermals at the base: the inevitable choice" of the CNI, in 2012, Brazil has 13 gigawatts of capacity that are installed in gas mills in the country. The Confederation states that the increase in this energy source would help to replenish the hydroelectric industries that are low-level deposits.

The Federation ensures that consistency in the expansion of pipes that are used to transform natural gas into electrical energy, as well as, plan for the development of wind and solar power plants is necessary.
