With new wells, Eneva plans payment

Eneva President Pedro Zinner said the power generation company plans to pay cash for the purchase of new Petrobras wells. According to the CEO, Eneva estimates to increase cash generation, since thermal power plants have been activated since October due to the lack of hydroelectric power in Brazil

After raising R$948 million in October through debentures, the company does not need, at least in the coming months, to issue more shares or bonds to finance acquisitions or about R$ 2 billion in investments, Zinner said.

At the beginning of the month, Eneva bought seven exploratory blocks in the Amazon and Paraná basins and the Juruá field, in the Solimões basin, at the auction held by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). The president also said that the company will present a new proposal to purchase petrobras' Urucu field on January 15 and will likely participate in other Petrobras auctions in the future.
