The National Council of energy policy (CNPE) published in the Official Gazette on April 17, a decision laying down guidelines for the new Brazilian gas market. He was also created the Technical Committee for the development of Natural Gas Industry in Brazil, in order to propose measures to ensure the smooth transition of the gas sector. Among the tasks of the new Committee is submitting, within 120 days of the date of publication in the D.O. measures for improvement of the sector.
CT-GN is integrated by members of the Ministry of mines and energy; of staff; Ministry of science, technology, innovation and communications; Ministry of planning; Ministry of finance; Ministry of industry, Trade and services; Energy research company (EPE); National Agency of petroleum, Natural gas and biofuels (ANP); National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel); National Forum of State Secretaries of energy (FME); Brazilian Association of regulatory Agencies (Abar); and representative associations of agents who act in the various links in the chain of natural gas.
