Norwegian company has an interest in investing in renewable energy

The Norwegian state Equinor, aims that depending on the success of its exploration activities in Brazil, can complete a production of 300,000 to 500,000 barrels of oil in 2030. The company intends to take advantage of five more oil wells and still foresees the continuation of the production of the Carcará field until the year 2050.

According to Anders Opedal, executive vice president of development and production of Equinor in Brazil, the State has the intention to expand the development of renewable energy projects. At the end of 2017, the company held a partnership with Scatec Solar, also Norwegian, which invested in photovoltaic energy projects in the country.

The Total French company, declared in July a document of understanding with Petrobras to be able to evaluate the possible in wind and solar energy in Brazil. Already the state Shell, wants to analyze the expansion in wind generation.
