Consortium offers R$ 3.7 billion by Liquigás

In order to sell its entire stake in the Liquigás, Petrobras announced last Thursday (7), that a consortium formed by Copagaz, Itaúsa and Nacional Gás Butano presented the best offer for the purchase of the company, in the amount of R$ 3.7 billion.

However, the sale of the kitchen gas distributor still will be approved by competent organs of the state and other stages still will be disclosed to the market. “This operation is aligned with the optimization of the portfolio and the improvement of the allocation of the company’s capital, aiming at the generation of value to our shareholders,” the oil company said.

Petrobras made the sale at the end of 2016 to Ultracouple for R$ 2.8 billion, but the deal was blocked by Cade (Council Administrative Economic Defense).
