The pandemic of the new coronavirus has brought several changes in several sectors, including natural gas. Data from the Brazilian Association of Piped Gas Distribution Companies (Abegás) show that natural gas consumption fell 8.7% last year compared to 2019.
According to Abegás, total consumption in the country was 59.03 million cubic meters per day (m³/day) during 2020. "Between March and June, distributors were strongly impacted by the pandemic.
