Signing of contract for import of natural gas should delay

The signing of a contract for the import of natural gas from Bolivia to the state of Mato Grosso, which would take place on Thursday (27), was postponed. The agreement is between the Mato Grosso government and the Gas Company and Yacimientos Petroleum Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB).

The subscription is expected to take place on June 1st. The contract had already been signed in 2019 by the state government, with the supply of 1.5 million cubic meters of natural gas monthly by the Bolivian company. The contract now lasts for 5 years and can be extended for the same period.

The reason for the postponement was because the entourage, composed of three state secretaries and other directors may be "imprisoned" in the country until the finding that they are not with Covid-19.
