Coronavirus already reaches 800 offshore workers
Last Wednesday (13), the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) confirmed the number of 800 oil rig workers contaminated by covid-19. The Single Federation of Oil Tankers (FUP) states that in the Campos Basin alone, at least 112 cases of oil tankers with the new coronavirus have been confirmed.
In the last week alone, more than 60 crew members tested positive on the ship Amaralina Star, which operates in oil and gas exploration in the Campos Basin in the service of Petrobras. The state-run company said that "all crew members have been tested" and ensured that workers with positive results for the disease "are in isolation receiving ground care."
