Last Monday (9), Cosan announced that it will launch a new company, Compass Gas and Energy. The investment relies on other partners and will focus on the distribution of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and the commercialization of gas and energy, aiming at thermoelectric generation of natural gas.
The investment plan began to be carried out in the last year with the purchase of US$ 95 million from Compass Comercializada. The company, established in 2009, focused on the sale of energy in the market, but also authorized by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) to act in the gas trade.
Compass will be responsible for the disposal of natural gas from the santos basin, a project known as Route 4 that is in Licensing. The new route provides a connection between the production hub and the Island of Madeira, in the Port of Itaguaí in Rio de Janeiro, which will be interconnected by a 313 km long pipeline.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
