COVID-19: ANP makes it more flexible to obtain anhydrous ethanol
Due to the drop in demand caused by the pandemic, National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported, by through a communication, which made it official to relax the obligations of acquisition of anhydrous ethanol (added to gasoline) by distributors.
Resolution 819/2020 was published today (8) in the union officer and will be valid until May 31, 2021. The amendments will include contracts for the supply of anhydrous ethanol in the july 2020 to may 2021. According to the ANP, the measure was necessary because there was a drop in demand for C gasoline.
Thus, paragraphs 3°, 6°, 7° and 12° were changed. Article 3 in the resolution, as well as in Paragraph 1 and in the caput of the Article 10 of ANP Resolution No. 67/2011, with the purpose of applying a 16% on the volume sold in 2019. As a comm, the sending of contracts for approval had the deadline extended to July 1.
