The number of offshore workers contaminated by coronavirus has grown remarkably this month. The data are from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
From April 10 to April 13, the number went from 47 to 126 cases of contamination. Also according to the ANP, 897 suspected cases in E&P companies were reported by the beginning of this week in Brazil alone. Of the total number of confirmed cases, 74 professionals were in marine drilling and production facilities.
Following the safety protocol, these professionals contaminated by the virus should disembark. In addition, all persons who have had contact with people whose cases have been confirmed should also disembark from the platforms. In the most, if necessary, production will be stopped if it is not possible to keep the minimum team to operate safely.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
