Growing oil and natural gas production in Brazil

After consecutive falls, national oil production had increased 3% in September compared to August, totaling 2,353,000 barrels per day. The growth occurred with the end of the scheduled maintenance on platforms in the field of Lula, in the pre-salt Santos basin.

Natural gas production also advanced. The increase was 1.9% compared to August and 3.2% before September 2016, totaling 114 million cubic meters per day (m ³/d). The sum of oil and gas, the brazilian production in September was $3,370,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), elevation of 2.7% compared to August and 0.11% compared to September 2016.

The pre-salt neither stayed behind and had production totaled in bpd and 52 million of 1,351,000 m ³/d of natural gas on 82 wells, which accounted for 49.8% of the total produced in the country. As concessionaire, the average oil production of Petrobras in September totaled 2,050,000 barrels of oil per day, which shows high of 2.2 percent, according to the ANP.
