The director of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biocomustíveis (ANP), Felipe Kury, said the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) shall disclose the auctions for exploration and production of oil and natural gas areas in Brazil for the next three years after meeting should take place in April.
During the announcement, held at the first Forum AC Rio Oil & Gas – Situation of the current market and prospects, held in Rio de Janeiro, the director added that in April the areas are also reported to be offered in 14 Bidding Round, scheduled for the second half of this year.
Kery also said the agency is still studying the areas to be auctioned for the third round of the pre-salt, but cites the Pau-Brazil blocks, Peroba, Saturn and Cabo Frio High. There are still awaiting some regulatory issues such as local content, reviewing contracts, and the extension of validity of Repetro.
