Delay in regulation may affect auction, says Abpip
Last Monday, the Brazilian Association of Independent Oil and Gas Producers (Abpip) released a note in which it expressed concern about the risk of the lack of progress in the regulatory framework delaying the auction of permanent supply of the ANP.
In addition to stating that the delay would call into question the attractiveness of the event, the association also stressed the concern with the 16 blocks available in the Amazon, where the state government and the Legislative Assembly did not reach a consensus on the gas law and the text ended up vetoed in early May by Governor Wilson Lima.
With the announcement published last Tuesday, the auction of permanent offer – with continuous availability of unleased blocks – will gather 708 blocks.
